Job Summary - IT Applications Systems Specialist (Based on provided job description) - Serve as product owner and subject matter expert for Meditech Expanse EMR system. - Provide daily support, troubleshooting, and user assistance for clinical application systems. - Coordinate and manage system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure minimal disruption. - Deliver user training on EMR standards for healthcare providers and staff. - Respond to and resolve service desk requests, including user provisioning and enhancement requests. - Participate as primary contact for application system support, including call queue coverage. - Manage and resolve system incidents, escalating critical issues to vendors when needed. - Engage in design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of clinical and administrative applications. - Lead and execute quality testing for system projects, enhancements, and bug fixes. - Collaborate with operational teams to optimize clinical workflows and improve application efficiency. - Monitor system performance, identify recurring issues, and implement long-term solutions. - Ensure accuracy and integrity of clinical data within application systems. - Act as liaison between IT and operational staff to address issues and drive improvements. - Serve as application expert for system integration and compatibility among physician and application platforms. - Maintain and optimize the clinical application portfolio, contributing to system lifecycle management. - Utilize strong understanding of healthcare IT systems and clinical workflows. - Apply excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills. - Translate technical concepts for business and clinical staff. - Focus on process improvement and ownership of assigned products and projects. - Work independently, manage multiple tasks, and deliver results in high-pressure situations. - Provide organizational and detail-oriented support bridging technical and applications teams. - Requires bachelor's degree in related field and experience with Meditech Expanse EHR systems.
