Radiation Therapist - Job Summary (List Format) - Facility Overview: - 174 licensed beds - No trauma designation - TJC Stroke accredited - Not a teaching hospital (except for community nursing schools) - Part of Lee Garvey Chest Pain Network - Traveler must live at least 50 miles from facility - Department Details: - Treats approximately 35 patients per day on 1 Varian Linac IX machine - 3-4 years' experience as a Radiation Therapist required - First-time travelers accepted - Patient Population: - Inpatient and outpatient cancer patients (all cancer types) - Inpatients treated weekly - Minimal to no work in CT Simulation - Licensing/Certifications: - BLS certification required - ARRT-T certification required - Required Skills: - Proficient with Varian Linac IX - Experience with various cancer diagnoses - Comfortable working with inpatient population - EPIC/Aria EMR experience preferred - Team & Support: - On-site manager and leadership support - Typically, 3 Radiation Therapists per shift/machine - Technology/Equipment: - Varian Linac IX - EMR: EPIC/Aria - Floating: - May float to sister facilities (travel up to 1 hour) - Must be willing to float - Orientation: - 1 week facility and unit orientation - Schedule: - Variable 8-hour shifts between 7am-6pm (travelers will close) - No weekends, call, or holiday expectations - RTO (Requested Time Off) requires manager approval - Other Details: - Scrub color: Black - Free parking - Family-oriented, engaged, and team-focused department culture
